Thanksgiving Feast - Dinner - Creamed Corn

Creamed Corn?  <OR> Cream Corn?

Call it what you want, this recipe is amazing.

Creamed Corn

8 ears corn, husked*
2 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp flour
1 c heavy cream
salt and pepper
1/2 c cold water
2 tbsp bacon grease
1 tbsp butter
  1. Cut kernels off cob.
  2. Using back of blade, scrape against cob to press out milky liquid.
  3. Whisk together sugar, flour, salt and pepper.
  4. Combine with corn.
  5. Add heavy cream and water.
  6. Mix well.
  7. In large skillet, heat bacon grease.
  8. Add corn mixture and turn heat to medium-low.
  9. Stir until it becomes creamy, about 30 minutes.
  10. Add butter right before serving.
